It feels unusual to bring a big bulky DSLR out in a non-studio environment. I still prefer my small film cameras for that purpose (My RF and Point and Shoot) but when you see a server picking her nose just before the dinner service starts, you will want to take that picture, no matter what camera you have.
I used to be uber purist but I think now It doesn’t matter if the photo is made or taken, film or digital, or if it is art or personal. What should matter is that the photo exists.
